I don't admit it to many (in fear I'll be stoned) but I do love the rain, dreariness and all - I guess growing up in Scotland, it feels cozy and comforting to me somehow; besides living in the woods where the tall oaks soak up all the moisture, this beneficial rain makes everything so green and luscious.

A well deserved win - your coat is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my!!!! This coat is gorgeous!!!!! No wonder you won best in show .... Congratulations on your win!!!! I absolutely love this coat!!!!! Sorry about all of the exclamation points, but I can't help myself. Great job Margo .... Really fantastic work.
ReplyDeleteOh, and by the way, we must be related .... I, too, adore rainy days. We'll both have to go into the Witness Protection Program for admitting to this publicly...we'll be blamed for all inclement weather from here on out;-)Oh, well, we'll have a good time in the program together;-))
Hope you're having a great week.
Big hugs,
Dawn
That is beautiful! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for butterflies. :o)

Thank you so much everyone - I really appreciate your comments. The pictures really don't do it justice as the inside is a lovely crinkly pink habotai and it is a "swing" coat -- I copied the design from my raincoat that I love (coming in handy today) and the hem curves and dips in the back and is a little shorter in front.
ReplyDeleteDawn - we could felt together as long as they let us have wool and soap! You could do hats and I could do coats hahaha I am having a fantastic week - hope you are too and hugs to you too, my dear.
jou are miracle!margo-I love jou and jou works!
ReplyDeleteWOW that is beautiful, you do such wonderful work. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to take a class from you here in Richmond VA. Wish you would come back. Thanks for sharing.

Glorious and exquisite!!! What a incredible piece!!! I love the rain too especially when the alternative is nasty heat and dust!!!!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs to you Margo!!!
It was a pleasure to meet you in Maryland, Margo. (I was with Mohair in Motion) After I complimented (and drooled all over) the jacket you were wearing, you humbly confessed that you had won the honors this year with your Butterfly jacket. I regretted that I was unable to get away to see it. Thank you for posting the photos. Such exceptional work! It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWell earned Margo. It's a gem.
